Braucht man so etwas überhaupt, oder ist das schon technischer Overkill? Die Masse liegt tief und zentral. Die Schaltung arbeitet geschützt vor Schmutz und Beschädigungen. Hochschalten unter Vollast, Runterschalten mit oder ohne Pedalumdrehung, während das Hinterrad beim Anbremsen blockiert, einen oder mehrere Gänge gleichzeitig. Nie wieder eine abgelaufene Kette oder ein verbogenes Schaltwerk, weniger Wartung und Pflege. Diese Vorteile sind nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Das Mehrgewicht zum Ion ST liegt dabei unter einem Kilo. Das Ion GB2 eliminiert die Nachteile und Risiken einer Kettenschaltung und folgt dabei konsequent der Prämisse: Mehr Zeit auf der Piste, weniger Zeit in der Werkstatt oder kurz: Mehr Spaß am Biken. The drive-train is protected from dirt and damage. Upshift under full load, downshift without pedalling or while the rear wheel is locked up under full braking. Never suffer again from a jammed chain or from a bent derailleur, and of course there is the need for less maintenance and care. The additional weight over an Ion ST is less than a kilo. The Ion GB2 eliminates many of the disadvantages of a conventional drive-train and leads to more time on the slopes, less time in the workshop and therefore more fun biking.
