Dirt und Dual Bikes sind gebaut, um auf kurzen, mit großen Sprüngen bestückten Kursen oder Lines, entweder im Wettkampf gegeneinander, für den Spaß allein oder für eine gute Show zu fahren. Da diese Bikes fast mehr Zeit in der Luft, als am Boden verbringen, sind sie dafür besonders, kurz, handlich und stabil ausgelegt. Um definiert und hoch abspringen zu können, haben sie nur kurze, straffe Federwege oder sind am Heck ungefedert. Dirt- und 4-X Bikes gelten wegen des hohen Unfallrisikos als eher kurzlebige Mountainbikes. Dirt Rahmen sind daher leider häufig einfach und billig gefertigt. Unsere Dirt und 4-X Bikes sind mit dem selben hohen Anspruch und in der gleichen Qualität, wie unsere übrigen Bikes gefertigt. Sie kosten dafür etwas mehr und bekommen 5 Jahre Garantie auf den Rahmen, egal, wie oft man in den Landehang oder ins Flat einschlägt. Dirt, Dual, 4-Cross This discipline is not about the greatest distances or meeting the challenges of nature. Dirt and dual bikes are built for short courses or lines loaded with big jumps. It can be either in competition against each other, just for the hell of it, or for a good show. Because these bikes almost spend more time in the air than they do on the ground, they are particularly short, compact and stable. To get a clean take-off and good height they are designed with short travel and stiff suspension or with no suspension at all. Due to the high risk of crashes the average life-span of Dirt- and 4-X bikes is generally quite short. Dirt frames are therefore often manufactured cheaply and with relatively low specifications. Our Dirt and 4-X Bikes are manufactured to the same high standards and with the same quality as our other bikes. They may cost a little more but for that you get a 5-year frame warranty no matter how often you miss the down slope of the jump or land on the flat. Brother, HAAS und die Brüder der Zerspanung Die einzelnen Bauteile eines Nicolai Rahmens werden mit Hilfe von 3D CAD-Programmen am Computer berechnet und entworfen. Die dabei erzeugten CAD-Daten werden anschließend von einer CNC- Maschine auf das Werkstück übertragen. Alle Fräs- und Drehteile werden von uns aus Vollmaterial oder Profilen gefertigt. Die Jungs, die hier die Späne fliegen lassen, heißen Kai, Stefan, Tobi, Thomas und Vasco. Ihre Verbündeten bei diesem Job sind zwei Brother TC-32 A, eine Haas VF2 Superspeed, eine Weiler und zwei Index V-200. Präzise, schnell, und innovativ sind die Brüder als Team unschlagbar. The brothers of Machining The individual components that a Nicolai frame consists of, are calculated and designed with the help of 3D CAD software on the computer. The CAD data generated is then transferred to one of our CNC machines. All our milled and turned parts are manufactured out of solid billet or extruded profiles. The guys who operate them are called Kai, Stefan, Tobi, Thomas and Vasco. Their tools for this job are two Brother TC-32 A’s, a VF2 Haas Super Speed, a Weiler and two V-200 Index machines.
