Das Helius AM ist unser erfolgreichster und meist verkaufter Rahmen, weil er das größte Einsatzspektrum abdeckt. Bikepark-Action, ausgedehnte Tagestouren, Trail-Riding und Gipfeljagd, mit dem AM ist alles möglich. Das Helius AM vereint schluckfreudige 170 mm Federweg mit einem moderaten Gewicht und großen Sicherheitsreserven. Es kombiniert Laufruhe mit Wendigkeit. Man sitzt aufrecht, entspannt und mittig im Bike und hat so eine überlegene Kontrolle in allen Fahrsituationen. Du solltest Dir also vor einer Bestellung überlegen, welche Hinterradnabe und Schaltung Du an Deinem zukünftigen Helius fahren möchtest, bzw. welche Optionen Du Dir offenhalten willst. CC-Schnellspann-Ausfallenden sind die leichteste Option und ermöglichen den Einbau einer 10 mm Schnellspann- oder Schraubachsnabe. Sie bieten jedoch keine Möglichkeit, eine 12 mm Steckachsnabe oder eine Rohloff ® -Getriebenabe mit OEM1 Drehmomentabstützung zu fahren. Soll eine Rohloff ® -Nabe verbaut werden, müssen hierfür die nur unwesentlich schwereren Rohloff ® -Ausfallenden gewählt werden, die gleichfalls aber auch mit einer 10 mm Schnellspann- oder Schraubachsnabe bestückt werden können. Soll Dein Helius hart rangenommen werden, und ist ein Plus an Steifigkeit im Heck gewünscht, empfehlen sich unsere 12 mm Steckachsausfallenden, die mit der mitgelieferten 12 mm Nicolai-Steckachse oder optional mit einer Rock Shox Maxle ® -Achse bestückt werden können. Diese Ausfallenden schließen jedoch die Verwendung von 10 mm Schnellspann- oder Rohloff ® - Naben aus. AM stands for All Mountain and is used to denote all our enduro frames. These are solid, nigh on indestructible, bikes which whilst clearly leaning towards gravity are still light enough to access the mountains even if you don't have access to a lift or a helicopter. The Helius AM is now our biggest selling frame because it covers all types of riding - from bike parks to all day epic adventures and everything inbetween. The only limits are your own. The Helius AM combines 170 mm of plush travel with a relatively lightweight and agile feel. Your riding position is central, upright, and relaxed giving good control in all riding situations whether you are riding rough trails, jumps, north shore ladders, drops or fast descents. The Helius AM provides a superior all round performance and huge downhill capability without making climbing too tortuous. As an extra option for the Helius AM we can offer a Cane Creek Double Barrel Shock that is exclusively custom tuned to the frame. Helius dropout standards On all our Helius models we offer three different dropout standards as no-cost options. Before placing your order you need to decide what kind of rear hub and related shifting system you would like to use or what options you want to keep open. The 10 mm quick release dropout (QR10) is the lightest solution and allows the use of standard hubs with conventional quick releases. To use your Helius with Rohloff ® hubs we offer the slightly heavier Rohloff ® dropouts which have a longer slot on the left hand side to fit the OEM-1 axleplate of the Rohloff ® hub. These also accept standard quick-release hubs. For maximum rigidity and the best tracking of the rear wheel we recommend the 12mm through axle dropout option. These dropouts can be used in combination with a 12mm axle from Nicolai or the Rock Shox Maxle. You cannot use a 10mm QR or Rohloff ® hub with this option.
