RADO An allen Rahmen (außer dem Ro20) montieren wir rechts ein formschlüssig verschiebbares, austauschbares Ausfallende zur Spur- und Sturzeinstellung. Durch die unterschiedlich gefrästen, rechten Ausfallenden zum Justieren des Sturzes muss das Heck nach der Montage nur noch gering nachgerichtet werden. Das entlastet das Material. Die jeweilige Sturzhöhe ist mit den Ziffern 0, 1, 2 oder -1 und -2 in das RADO eingefräst. Nachdem Spur und Sturz eingestellt sind, wird das RADO ab Werk mit einem Stift fixiert. So ist die Originaleinstellung beim Austausch leicht reproduzierbar. Wenn Du das RADO austauschen willst, etwa weil es verbogen ist, solltest Du beim Nachbestellen die eingeprägte Zahl angeben, damit wir Dir das Ersatzteil mit dem korrekten Radsturz schicken können. Wie bestelle ich einen Maßrahmen? Du kannst Deinen Maßrahmen bei Deinem Nicolai- Stützpunkthändler bestellen, bezahlen und abholen. Für technische Details jedoch stehen wir Dir direkt zur Verfügung. Mit dem Ingenieur, der Deinen Rahmen entwirft. Zunächst müssen wir wissen, warum Du einen Maßrahmen fahren möchtest. Meist liegen die Gründe in der Vergangenheit: Welches Bike hast Du gefahren? Welche Geometrie hatte es? Welche Probleme hattest Du damit? Vielleicht Rückenschmerzen, schmerzende Knie oder ein Stechen im Nacken? Als nächstes wollen wir Deine Körpermaße und Körpermasse wissen, also Deine Größe, Deine Schrittlänge, Deine Armlänge und Dein Gewicht. Welche Sitzposition bevorzugst Du? Hast Du gesundheitliche Probleme? Was willst Du mit dem Bike machen? Cross Country-Rennen fahren oder Freeriden? Lockere Touren oder steile Trails? Welche Teile willst Du fahren oder später nachrüsten können? Oft stellen wir nach der genauer Auswertung der Informationen fest, dass auch ein Serienrahmen Deine Wünsche erfüllen kann. Merken wir jedoch, dass unsere Serienrahmen Deine Ansprüche nicht erfüllen, dann entwerfen wir eine Maßgeometrie für Dich. If you order one of our tailor made frames then the communication about the technical details should always be between the Nicolai engineer in charge and the future rider. Of course you can order and buy a tailored frame at your local licensed dealer, but for all technical aspects and details regarding this order we here at Nicolai are your direct contact. So after we‘ve got in contact we will first ask you why you think that you need a custom frame at all. Usually the reasons have developed from past experiences with other frames. What bike have you been riding so far? What are the exact measurements of it? What kind of worries and problems did you have with that bike? Backache or aching knees? A stiff neck perhaps? These are the first things that we should discuss. Next we will ask you some details regarding dimensions: Your body size, inseam, arm-length and your weight. What riding position do you prefer? Do you have any specific requirements? We will then find out what you are going to use your new bike for: cross country racing, relaxed tours, challenging trails - or maybe freeriding is your thing? What forks are you intending to fit to your bike? What components do you have in mind? We often find that with analysis of the first three points we come to the conclusion that one of our regular Nicolai frames with carefully chosen components will put things right and custom geometry is not actually required. However, if we come to the conclusion that we can‘t meet your demands with a standard frame then we will work out a bespoke tailored geometry for you. Of course it is also possible that you are particularly technically skilled, a professional rider, or just know exactly what geometry or features you require. In that case we will ask you for a technical drawing containing a complete set of geometry data. We will, of course, assess your design for any issues with components that we are aware of and for technical feasibility, and advise you accordingly. However, if the frame is completely you your specification we cannot be held responsible if the final outcome does not work as well as our custom tailored frames. When we build a tailored frame for you we make a technical drawing containing all geometry details and we will send it to you for your confirmation. You will then have the opportunity to make any final changes or resolve any unanswered questions. We won‘t start building your frame until you give us the go-ahead and have confirmed your personal tailored geometry. Independently from agreeing the technical details it is best to place a formal order to set a production slot for your frame so it can be built without too much delay. Technical details and questions can still be resolved during the period between order placement and production date. right aligning dropout All NICOLAI frames except the Ro20 are equipped with form-fitted, re-locatable and exchangeable dropouts to adjust the toe and camber at the rear end. Using the adjustable RADO dropouts allows us to reduce the rectification work on the frame which also means less stress on the material. The right side dropouts are marked with the indices -2, -1, 0, 1 and 2 for different camber adjustments. The RADO is fixed with a pin after the correct toe and camber adjustment. In case you need to replace the RADO make sure to check the corresponding index number. The correct number ensures the correct toe and camber adjustment even after replacement. Maße und Winkel Dein Rahmen haben soll. Dann brauchen wir eine Rahmenzeichnung mit allen Geometriedaten. Wir prüfen, ob dies machbar und sinnvoll ist. Wenn wir Deine verbindliche Auftragsarbeit dann ausführen, so sind Umtausch und Rückgabe bei Nichtgefallen ausgeschlossen. Bevor wir Deinen Maßrahmen bauen, legen wir für Dich eine technische Zeichnung des Rahmens mit allen Geometriedaten an. Diese Zeichnung legen wir Dir zur Bestätigung vor. Du kannst dann noch Maße ändern oder Fragen klären. Mit dem Bau des Rahmens beginnen wir erst, wenn Du uns Deine Maßgeometrie noch einmal verbindlich bestätigst. Unabhängig von den technischen Details kannst Du verbindlich bestellen, um Dir einen Produktionstermin für den Rahmen zu sichern. So bekommst Du Deinen Rahmen am schnellsten.
