UFO Seit seinem Erstflug 1998 ist das UFO nach zahlreichen Detailverbesserungen mittlerweile ein bewährter und ausgereifter Dual Slalom und 4Cross Rahmen, der seit Jahren für nationale wie inter- nationale Erfolge gut ist. Ursprünglich als reiner Race-Rahmen entwickelt, hat das UFO längst die Herzen der Barrio - Biker erobert und fliegt mindestens ebenso häu- fig über innerstädtische Blumenkübel, Museumstreppen und Skate-Ramps. Eingefleischte UFO Piloten fühlen sich auch auf Downhills, Singletrails oder North Shores zu Hause. Wie der Name vielleicht vermuten läßt, ist das UFO das Fully mit den besten Flugeigenschaften im NICOLAI Programm. Sein kurzer Hinterbau und eine abgewinkelte Sitzrohreinheit tragen zur agi- len Geometrie bei, optimal in Kombination mit einer 100 bis 130 mm Federgabel. Die Sitzrohrlänge bleibt bei allen Rahmengrößen gleich, nur Oberrohr und Radstand variieren. Oversized Gussets auf dickwandigen 7005er Rohren und ein straffer Federweg von 85 - 115 mm sorgen für Druck beim Beschleunigen, kraftvolle Starts und sichere Landungen. Optional ist ein zusätzlicher Umwerferturm für die Montage eines Umwerfer oder einer oberen Kettenführung erhältlich. ...frag’ Falco, wat Barrio is’. Since its first flight in 1998, the UFO has undergone numerous impro- vements and has now become fully developed and race proven Dual Slalom and 4-Cross frame. Originally designed as a pure racing frame, the UFO has been successfully ridden to victory on the natio- nal and international scenes for years. Now however, the UFO is con- quering the heart and soul of urban riders and is frequently seen fly- ing over inner-city flower boxes, museum staircases and skate ramps! Die-hard UFO riders also feel at home on the downhills, single tracks and North Shore trails. As the name implies, the UFO is the best flier of all the NICOLAI fleet. Short chainstays and a relaxed seat tube angle give a very agile geometry optimised for a 4.5" to 5.25" suspen- sion fork. The seat tube length is the same for all sizes; the only parameters that change are the top tube and wheelbase lengths. Oversized gussets made out of hefty 7005 aluminium, and 3.75" to 4.75" of rear wheel travel can take the pressure from quick accelera- tions, powerful starts and hard landings.
