Die Hollow- Weld-Technology (HWT) in Verbindung mit einem EASTON Ultralite Rohrsatz und EASTON Rectangular Stays ermöglicht ein Rahmengewicht von 2,1 kg, inkl. serienmäßigem DT Swiss SSD 210L Dämpfer. HWT bedeutet das hohle Ausfräsen einzelner Bauteile, die anschließend entlang der neutralen Faser wieder verschweißt werden. Dieses aufwendige Fertigungsverfahren ermöglicht steife, dauerhaltbare Bauteile bei einem sensatio- nell niedrigen Gewicht. Eine Titanium Zugstange oberhalb des Dämpfers prägt dem Unterrohr die umgekehrte Materialspannung auf, die der Dämpfer während des Betriebs verursacht. Somit liegen die Materialspannungen im Unterrohr im zulässigen Bereich. 2 Jahre Garantie im Renneinsatz. The Saturn is our tribute to the impressive performances of cross-country and marathon racers and it is proof that a NICOLAI doesn't always look like a moto-cross machi- ne and can sit next to the super light full suspension race frames on top of the Olympic podium. Hollow-Weld- Technology (HWT) combined to a EASTON Ultralite tube- set and EASTON rectangular stays allow for a complete frame weight of 4.6 pounds including the stock DT Swiss SSD 210L shock. HWT means that all large parts are CNC'ed to a specific wall thickness and welded together along their neutral sides. The resulting hollow body is incredibly stiff and lightweight as well as being durable in the long term. The titanium tension bar above the shock helps the down tube withstand the pressure coming from the shock during compression. Consequently, the inner material tension of the down tube remains in an accepta- ble range.
