Most are more concerned with a universally capable bike that can climb well, master any trail and has a strong downhill potential. Our Geolution Tour geometry appeals precisely to these people by taking the basic characteristics of the genuine Geolution concept, such as a flat head angle and long reach, and transferring them to a more moderate, less racy geometry. The riding position becomes more upright, the bike is more maneuverable and agile. The Geolution DNA and the excellent off-road performance, however, remain.

The LED Remote can be used to activate the push-assist or hill-stop functions at the touch of a button, which prevents the bike from rolling backwards in steep push passages or on stairs. The LED Remote is rotatable and also adjustable in the longitudinal direction independently of the position of the mounting clamp. Thus, both a comfortable position and access to the brake lever and the remote lever of the lowerable seatpost can be optimally adjusted.

One crucial aspect, for example, is the operating temperature of the motor. Sufficient air cooling is required to prevent the drive from overheating under extreme conditions. At the same time, the motor should be protected as good as possible against dirt, rocks and impacts. We solve this requirement by using a robust aluminum baffle plate on the underside of the motor. We also protect the flanks of the motor and at the same time ensure optimum ventilation and heat dissipation with integrated air ducts.

Another example for system connectivity between mountain bike and e-drive is the solution we found for integrating the BOSCH Power Tube battery into the down tube. The common standard for eMTBs so far has been an open U-profile as down tube, into which the battery is inserted from above or below. However, unlike a closed tubular profile, a U-profile can only absorb low torsional forces, to which the down tube, as the most important load-bearing element of the frame, is exposed to a high degree. We have therefore designed a special multi-chamber profile for the down tubes of our EBOXX models, which has a significantly higher torsional stiffness than an open profile, despite a battery bay on the underside.

Besides its excellent damping performance, the FOX DHX Performance shock absorber convinces with well-defined detent points of the rebound adjustment, a better readability and a 2-position lever to be operated during the ride, which steadies the suspension on flat ground. In addition, it offers a super-smooth responsiveness, an improved end progression and an effective bottom-out protection. The mounting dimension of the shock absorber is 230 x 65 mm at 160 mm travel.

At the front, a FOX 38 Float Factory is deployed, the most refined version of this model. The FOX 38 has replaced the FOX 36 as the frontrunner in enduro forks. It has even more torsional stiffness and robustness and scores thanks to the new Grip2 damping cartridge with improved adjustability, better dynamics and more effective travel. The FOX 38 Float has also received approval for 230 mm brake discs. We offer the fork in our EBOXX bikes in the setting with 160 mm travel.

For powder coating, a polyester color powder is electrostatically dusted onto the frame and then melted. The resulting paint layer forms an impact-resistant, durable coating that is firmly bonded to the aluminum. In anodizing, on the other hand, a colored oxide layer is formed on the surface of the aluminum by an electrochemical process. Where a powder coating fills and smoothes out small irregularities and machining marks, an anodizing clearly reveals surface textures and milling patterns.

Sustainability is a major concern for us, and our goal is a complete circular economy. All milling and cutting residues in our aluminum production as well as discarded frames are 100% recycled to the source material, which can then be used to create new, high-quality bikes again.
